Short Burst of Creativity - $145

Working on a short story, article, or other shorter writing piece that needs a sounding board? (Up to approx. 7500 words.) Let me help with:

  • pre-meeting read through of your piece with your goals in mind

  • one hour-long writing consultation session to help you step into the next draft

On working together:

I want your writing to be as clear and concise as possible.

​

I want to keep the primacy of your voice, and get rid of all the clutter.

​

I want to tell your story in the  best way possible. To find the “why” of your piece. I’m never going to do that by taking over, but I am going to ask you a lot of questions.

Apply Yourself Well - $215

Got a college or grad school application essay or other personal narrative staring you in the face? Let me shepherd you safely through the fear. This includes:

​

  • one hour-long brainstorming session

  • one hour-long developmental editing / writing consultation session with your first draft

  • one remote developmental edit of a second draft

  • copy editing of your final draft

A Novel Development - $475

Whether you've done the first draft and don't know where to go, or feel lost in the middle of draft four, I've got your back (50k-100k words) :

​

  • pre-reading writing consultation session for you to frame your feedback and notes (in person or digitally, whichever is preferable)

  • full reading of your novel draft with your plans in mind, including developmental editing comments

  • hour-long one-on-one writing consultation/feedback session tailored toward actionable steps toward your next draft

Call in the Researcher - $670

Need somebody to go delve into the depths of libraries or dig into Google and write up her findings? Let me flex my History degree for you:

​

  • pre-research meeting (up to an hour) to determine your needs and outline

  • up to five hours of focused research on our subject*

  • short article or report (up to 4000 words) summarizing research, including bibliography

  • (* if more research or longer papers are needed, contact me for a quote!)
